Jaymi is a London based actress/presenter.
Born and raised in North London, the youngest of four siblings in a large extended family, Jaymi quickly demonstrated a passion and flair for performing. At school this interest was noticed by teachers who often chose Jaymi to perform in school plays and as her confidence grew so did the parts.
As she moved through the school system her love of acting continued to grow. Wanting to extend her experience she studied Drama and Music but also joined a local amateur dramatic group where the roles became more diverse. She performed in musicals such as the Wizard of Oz and Grease, and later on the Bizet Opera Carmen.
Throughout her adult years, Jaymi mixed theatre with screen work and completed a 6 month intensive course studying Dramatic Arts in the US. However, it was during a fringe theatre
performance in 2012 that Jaymi was spotted by a seasoned writer/director who cast her as a leading lady in a television pilot. This sparked a renewed passion for screen acting and Jaymi has since won
a number of increasingly pertinent and varied roles.
Along with a number of internet based comedy shorts including Love Bites, Jaymi has won several short film roles including Mockumentary ‘The Hackney Pursuit’ and has also appeared in viral commercials for Activia, Bosch and Fishpools Furntiure Store. She also appeared in Chanel 4’s Don’t Blame Facebook as an undercover journalist.
Although Jaymi is credited as a great comedic actress, she delivered a harrowing and emotional performance in gritty Urban Feature Film, The Girlfriend portraying Lucy, a victim of domestic abuse. Recent cameos include Deputy HeadTeacher in award winning young director, Gareth Fient’s latest production ‘Deep Breaths’ and Mary in comedy ‘The Making of Movies – Crew’.
